CBNNews.com - British citizens could be forced to have microchip implants in the not-so-distant future that would store personal information and allow people to be tracked.
An official report on the rise of what it calls the "Big Brother" state in the United Kingdom, concluded that the prospect of 'chip-citizen' society could be possible in the next ten years, the London Daily Mall reported in October.
The report, which addressed the spread of surveillance technology in the country, was produced by a group of leading academics for Britain's Information Commissioner Richard Thomas.
It claims that Britons are currently the most spied-upon citizens in the free world. The chip, it says, could be used to monitor the movements, purchases, and communications of British citizens within ten years.
The London Daily Mall also reported earlier that teenage shoppers are more open to the idea of using microchip implants to pay for items.
